Gerald Axelrods photographies lead the viewer to places in Europe, over which lies a dark secret still to today. In the 'park of monsters' in Bomarzo (Italy) the muzzle of hell shows the way into the underworld, in the haunted forest of Huelgoat (France) ghosts seem to live and above the roofs of Paris frightening demons glance at the city below. Mysterious castles rise up into the cloudy sky, as if a curse lies on them. The tomb of Kutná Hora (Czechia) seems to be the entrance hall to another world, just as the cathedral on the island Mont St. Michel (France).

To go with the mystic atmosphere of the photographies Liane Angelico tells the story of the young witch Lemura, who together with Kemon, a impudent and cheeky demon, must flee from a witch hunter. Together they look for the witch compass, with which each witch can be tracked down. Under no circumstances it might fall into the hands of the inquisitor. A race against time begins, because the hiding place of the compass can be entered only at one night: The night of the bloodmoon.
